The Graceful Planet Pre-School Moving Arts Program Our Philosophy At The Graceful Planet, we believe in movement. Children have a naturally occurring cognitive and neural development. Part of the normal development process is to acquire motor skills, coordination, self-awareness, and social skills. Our programs are designed to promote this development and to have fun! |
| Creative Movement Leap 'N LearnTM At The Graceful Planet we offer a Creative Movement class for 3 - 5 year olds based on the Leap 'N Learn Sylablus. During class the dancer experiences activities just like the structure of a traditional Ballet Class. Each class begins in a circle to secure the studio space and to allow a connection to develop between the teacher and the students. Throughout the class, children explore music, movement and class etiquette. Additionally, students participate in a free dance activity at the end of the class. Each month the dancers focus on specific dance related skills like Classroom Etiquette, Musical Awareness, Relationships to Others, Learning about Dances from other countries, Body Awareness, Expressing Emotions through Movement, Relationship to Working Space and the stage, Learning about Pantomime, and Performance Time. |
| Yoga Together TM Yoga Together is only available at The Graceful Planet. This unique program developed at The Gracefiul Planet draws on our experience teaching children and families. Kat Barton has extensive training in teaching Children's Yoga and is a certified Yoga Ed Instructor, and has training with Yogakids and Circus Yoga. Yoga TogetherTM emphasizes that movement and yoga are fun. Whether the class is with fellow students or with family members the class focuses on being together enjoying movement and playful yoga games. These classes teach body awareness, breathing, relaxation and a sense of togetherness and community. We offer Baby Yoga TogetherTM, Mom & Daughter Yoga TogetherTM and Family Yoga TogetherTM. |
